Long-time Marshall Depot Inc. volunteer was honored October 29 with the naming of the Texas & Pacific Depot conference room in his honor. The vote from the board unanimous after a resolution listing his leadership in the restoration of the depot itself, and the management of such projects as securing and renovating the Texas & Pacific caboose and Engine 400. Most recently Pedison made daily visits to the depot, supervising the construction of a lift allowing Amtrak passengers and other visitors to avoid having to climb the stairs to access the tunnel into the basement waiting area. The resolution stated “for the first time it (the lift) made the depot truly handicapped accessible.”
